Conmebol signs sponsor deal with Ford

The South American Football Federation (Conmebol) signed a deal with Ford. The North American carmaker will be one of the main sponsors of premier club tournament Copa Libertadores for the next two years.

The deal will include brand exposure of the brand troughtout South America and the world, via in stadium branding. In addition, it will be granted Conmebol broadcast and digital rights.

For Ford, the deal is part of carmaker strategy to strenght its presence in South American markets. Ford will offer experience to fans to create deeper bounds with consumers.

We believe that Ford’s confidence and compromise with football in South America is the feedback to the good moment that football experiences nowadays in Sout America”, Juan Emilio Roa, comercial director of Conmebol, said.

Natan Vieira, vice-president of marketing, sales and services for Ford in South America, said: “The addition of Ford means Conembol have filled the tenth and final sponsorship position in its 2019-2022 cycle quota for the Copa Libertadores“.

Ford joins other well-known global brands as Amstel, Betfair, Bridgestone, EA Sports, Gatorade, Mastercard, Qatar Airways, Rexona e Santander, to Conmebol portfolio.
